Mysterieus! Vanwege de samenloop der elemementen in de omgeving . Intrigerend! Vanwege het 'onvoltooide' verhaal en de spanning die het oproept - de openstaande portier, het bootje aan de andere kant -.
Wat de foto maakt is de afstand - al het nodige in de frame - en het standpunt - het overzicht -. Mooi, Paul.

At first glance, this one brings to mind a couple of William Eggleston photos. But it strikes me that the vantage point is different here, and in realizing that it occurs to me that this high angle is a really important for this particular photo: the angle helps to collapse and compress the space, to push these strange elements up against each other. But what really makes the photo sing, i think, is the way that you've also managed to push those same visual elements (the car, the table, the boat, trailer) away from the center of the frame. These "things" after all are not the subject of this "urban/nature" photograph.
This image is wonderfully cinemagraphic; it wants to tell stories or to elicit them from a storyteller. The open door of the car ... wow!
